Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using ParlanceKit, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Parlance Atelier.

2. The service

ParlanceKit provides AI-powered localization translation tools including a CLI, dashboard, and API. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys and account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use ParlanceKit to:

  • Translate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, circumvent, or abuse the service
  • Share or resell API access without written permission
  • Exceed usage limits through artificial means or multiple accounts
  • Interfere with the service or its infrastructure

5. Billing and payment

  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance.
  • The 7-day free trial applies to the Starter plan only. No credit card is required to start a trial.
  • At the end of the trial, accounts automatically revert to the Free tier unless upgraded.
  • Overage charges of $0.002 per string apply to paid plans that exceed monthly limits.
  • All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store payment card details.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact hello@parlanceatelier.io.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal in your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the period ends.

7. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you submit for translation. By using ParlanceKit, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the translation service.

Your content is not stored after translation is complete and is not used to train AI models.

8. Translation quality

Translations are generated by AI models and may contain errors. ParlanceKit does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of translated content. You are responsible for reviewing translations before use in production.

9. Intellectual property

ParlanceKit, its logo, and all related software are the property of Parlance Atelier. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or branding.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parlance Atelier shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Georgia.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
